The Hobbit – An Unexpected Journey
Director Peter Jackson and his crew return to Middle-Earth. After the tremendously successful The Lord of the Rings trilogy, the same crew has now turned to filming The Hobbit, one of the earliest works of J.R.R. Tolkien. In fact, The Hobbit had been written as a children’s book and The Lord of the Rings was intended to be a sequel to this story. Eventually, The Lord of the Rings came out to stand as a masterpiece for itself.
Now with The Hobbit the story goes back some 60 years and it is told how it came to be that Bilbo Baggins set out on his truly unexpected journey, what perilous adventures he mastered with his friends the Dwarves, and how, finally, he encountered Gollum and found the One Ring.
The Hobbit – An Unexpected Journey will be filmed in two parts, the first to be releaved in December 2012. Watch here the first official trailer.
