David Hunter is a forensic anthropologist from England. He has been trained at the NFA and is often called in by the English police to help investigate murder cases. We first meet David in Simon Beckett’s “The Chemistry of Death”. As a journalist Simon Beckett visited the National Forensic Academy in Knoxville, Tennessee, better known as the “Body Farm”. The NFA is an institution training police officers and crime scene investigators for their work of detecting and solving murder cases. In order to create conditions as close to reality as possible, the NFA uses real human corpses, burying them underground or hiding them in the forest. By analysing bruises to the body and damage to bones, for instance, valuable information is gathered as to the cause of death. Whereas the state of decomposition – taking into account weather conditions such as temperature and humidity – may give quite an accurate estimate of time since death, thereby narrowing down the timeframe in which the crime occurred. Am 16. November war es soweit: Die zweite Ausgabe des Türkischen Rock-Festivals Durock. Durock, im Türkischen ausgesprochen als „durak“, d.h. Haltestelle, steht in diesem Sinne für einen Treffpunkt der Türkischen Rockmusik. Rund 800 Rockmusik Fans versammelten sich im Kölner E-Werk für ein fast fünfstündiges Konzert von insgesamt vier Bands. Den Auftakt machte die Mannheimer Amateurband Kobay (dt.: Versuchskaninchen), die über eine Vorabstimmung von den Zuschauern ausgewählt wurde.   Nach diesem Aufwärmauftritt betrat Pinhani (dt.: geheimnisvoll) die Bühne.
